Wicca is a make it up as you go along religion, so some people will toss anything in there. Many Wiccans (if not most) are hostile to Christianity (or "xtianty as they spell it out of hate) to some degree or another. The anynomity of the internet allows them to show their true feelings.

Some Wiccans combine Christianinty with Wicca much the same way people into Santeria or voodoo do so. The reason they feel they can do this is because they think all religions are true (Universalism). But to do this, ironically, they discredit the teachings of these religions, and so really they believe none of them are true. You can't combine Wicca's "Wiccan Rede" and sex rituals and promiscuity with Christianity and it's Ten Commandments or Bhuddism with its 8 commandements (8 fold path, Bhuddists don't believe in premarital sex either). Nor could you reconcile Islam, Zoroastrianism, Sihkisim, or Christianity because each teaches they are the only way. You can't reconcile Hinduism or Shintoism with their pantheon of gods and goddesses with Judaism, Christianity, Islam or Zorastrianism that are all monotheistic.

Here are the verses that condemn occult practices, witchcraft, etc. You'd have to ignore a huge chunk of the Bible in order to believe in "Christian Wicca".

Do you mean 'magick' as in spell casting? Or 'mystic' as in knowing the divine? Because there really is no such thing as a pagan or wiccan christian. Pagans and wiccans worship many gods and goddesses. Christians look to just one god. While all have mystics in their ranks, not so many have spellcasters in their ranks.

There are people who combine the two, but in my opinion they are just fluffies scared to practice real witchcraft.

Being a Wiccan means being initiated into a real coven through the Great Rite (sex), that worships skyclad (nude). Obviously you can't do things like this and be a Christian too. It is impossible for a Pagan to follow the teachings of Jesus since he would have considered sex outside marriage and nudity a "sin".

Jesus believed his way was the only way, while Wiccans reject this idea, believing there is no one single "way". Jesus taught baptism was essential, Wiccans do not believe this. Jesus taught the "forgiveness of sins", we Wiccans do not believe in sin. Jesus taught sinners go to Hell, Wiccans don't believe in Hell. He also followed a religion with many commandments, whereas we Wiccans have none. The idea that Christian teachings are compatible with Neopagan ones is ridiculous! Although I don't usually agree with Dr. Zoom Zoom (I like the new Avatar, BTW) on most things, he has shown enough evidence from the Cowan's Bible that the two are incompatible from a Christian point of view.

If you want to be a Wiccan, you'd have to find a real coven too, BTW.

When you become a Wiccan, you take a blood oath never to betray your coven, so don't take it lightly. The Book of Shadows says

"And if any break these laws, even under torture, The Curse of the Goddess shall be upon them, so they never reborn on earth, And may they remain where they belong, in the Hell of the Christians."

(...and before anyone says otherwise, it's in there, look it up). So please take it seriously. This isn't like getting a tattoo. If you ever join and change your mind, there will be a price to pay.

In my opinion a christian is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus.

Christianity as it is practiced by many these days is almost the exact opposite of what Jesus taught.

If you are a Wiccan or a Pagan and you follow the teachings of Jesus to me you are a christian.

Here's my own take on it.

Religions are created by humanity. Humans make the boundaries and parameters of a specific religion, even though they may be divinely inspired--but it still comes filtered through human judgement and perception.

Now, neopaganism quite happily borrows from all sorts of religious and magical traditions. Reincarnation? Hinduism and Buddhism. The Four Watchtowers? The Golden Dawn. Totem animals? Indigenous religions (especially Native American ones, usually horribly bastardized). Kabbalah? Judaism

Now, some of these traditions have distinct prohibitions about taking their elements out of context. Traditional Jewish practitioners of Kabbalah think that pagan Kabbalists are doing it all wrong. And read up on plastic shamanism at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plastic_shaman to find out what Native Americans think about people outside the tribes ripping off their religions. This is NO DIFFERENT from the parts of the Bible that say that you have to believe certain things and can't take various parts out of context.

My *personal* thought on this is, all religions borrow from earlier ones. So it's normal for people to adopt the beliefs of others to fit their own paths. I figure that as long as you *admit* where you got your information, and that it's out of context, you're fine. That means that it's just as possible to ignore the "Thou shalt not have any Gods before me" thing as you can ignore the "Kabbalah is not for non-Jews", etc. It's a *personal* choice, though, as to whether or not to do so, something that each pagan has to decide for hirself.

I do know of some Christo-pagans who follow a very Gnostic version of Christianity in their path; additionally, if you look at Jesus and Mary, that's just another incarnation of the Sacrificial God mythological motif found around the world throughout history.

But take my words as you will.

Yes, it is. I am a Pagan, who is a Christian. Please take a really good look at what, exactly, it was that Jesus preached and taught. Then look at what Paganism is. And Wicca, too, of course, and you will see that it all meshes nicely. I suspect that it was supposed to mesh, and that was the ultimate outcome of Christianity when practiced as Christ had tried to show us; In tune with Nature, in tune with the elements, in tune with each other, with 'perfect love and perfect trust'. Wicca practices this credo: "Do what thou wilt; Harm none." Quite Christ -ian. ("Do unto others as you would have done to you")
So, if you looked closely enough, you'd see what I mean, and you'll know what I would hope all could see.
Thanks for asking!
Blessed Be!
Peace!

HAHAHAHA

Religion is man made, so Why can't a man be both?

I am.I hold true to my christian faith.
And I practice wicca with my loved ones.

This is all man made. So why can't man change the rules, speaking of the rules.
Where's the rule book. I'd like to see where this one is written down.
( and BTW the bible is not a rule book)

According to the bible, no. Wicca and paganism are one and the same. But teens will do it anyways. They are saved and still practise the craft. I think they forget about the rule of three and how it will effect them if the person is not worthy of the spell they cast, dangerous, treacherous territory.
