Assuming God existed and created the universe and all that, what makes you so sure he hasn't died-off a long time ago? Or perhaps more recently? And is it impossible to think that he left an angel in charge to run things after his death?

Come on, impress me people. I want something good.

Who said I was?

Well here it is.... God cannot die because God (it) is not male or female, or a living creature on this planet. Basically, it is at best an entity, more likely a universally agreed upon "concept" for creation.

The universe was create period, but God only ever existed in human minds. We somehow need something to believe in, bigger then our own little self concept. Thus is were this God idea evolved. Angels fall into the same description as above.

Then again it is important to have faith, but dangerous to imagine that your version is the only correct version...see what i mean....

This reminds me of Scott Adams' "God's Debris." Think of it this way:

If God exists, and is all-powerful, then he would have the ability to destroy himself (die). Correct?

But, if God is eternal, he cannot destroy himself (die). Correct?

Likewise, if somehow God gets around the contradiction there, if he cannot destroy himself (die), then he's not all-powerful.

In "God's Debris," Adams actually suggests (as a thought experiment, nothing more) that all the material in the universe is actually... you guessed it, the stuff leftover from God's self-imposed destruction. It stands to reason, really. If you're God, and you can do anything (assuming you can make a square circle, or a red-colored blue ball, or a four-sided equalateral triangle, or a married bachelor... you know, all the other paradoxes out there) wouldn't you want to know if you could kill yourself?

Nietzsche said God is dead because we killed him through lack of need. I agree. Then again, I don't think God was there in the first place, so it's all sort of a thought-experiment to me.

First God is the beginning and the end well I'm talking to you now so I guess the end isn't here yet.
Second to die you must be born God was always here.
Third he is immortal not mortal like us, we just can't rap our tiny human minds around that.
And fourth and most important he is in my heart and the hearts of millions of other Christians around the world. Without him we wouldn't be here. Nothing would be. Everything would be thrown into dismay. I don't think there is more for me to say. I'm pretty sure there is more to say and someone will say it. I mean I am only 16 I don't have all the answers.

I am still alive. If He withdrew His Hand I would be gone.
He is still answering my prayers and often quickly and prayers for emergencies. Wait a minute you are saying God..I pray to The Creator, the One and Only Creator...I would never pray to even one He appointed to serve as God for a time and a place.....People of the atheist belief usually allude to the FALSE gods..they were mortal men from earth who made themselves false gods, taking mortals as slaves.. The Creator does not die. Genuine Gods set up by the Creator do not die. Even the falsegods who may be thrown into one of the hells for hundreds of years who go insane from it generally survive it...I think you must be talking about false gods who set themselves up wanting you to be their slave, believe them genuine... The actual Creator, your Creator will never die. Youcan have faith in that. He will not let you die either..For 500 yrs after you die you'll be going to schools....Right now get yourself a copy of Oahspe, an automatically written book; by the way the Creator dictated part of it a little over 100 yrs ago..catch up on things. There is much for you to rejoice over.l.they are not as bad as you suspect.

By most definitions, God is outside of time the same way we are outside the timeline of a movie. So even if God was capable of dying there is no way He would die in our lifetime.

If you are talking about someone besides the Christian God, then I would suppose that God was dead because I don't see much interaction from that God.

If it took the time to make the world I would suppose it would want to enjoy it.

God isn't dead because an immortal cannot decay. People who have a relationship with God do not simply "chat" with Him, the confide or console in Him. He cannot speak, but merely influences, just like his counterpart "the devil". God is alpha and omega as said in the Bible which means He had no beginning and has no end.

He is the creator. We are the created. God isn't human either. So what gives you the idea that he could have a physical birth and death like us? If you read in Genesis, it also says that Adam and Eve, once evicted from the garden of eden, they could experience death.

Time is not really passing. There is only now. God exists in NOW, so he could not have died a long time ago.

In other words, we think that time exists, but in fact, it does not. We watch time go by, but we only exist in now.

it may be hard to believe but it is the truth, and no joke. I saw Jesus appear, and I talked with Him. And from the first moment I saw Him, it was very--very clear who He is, what He was about, and that He is very much alive. why we cant all see Him from day to day is about Faith. He wants us to trust and believe.
it doesnt take faith to believe what you can see. so, for me, it doesnt take much faith to believe because I SAW HIM. but it is preferred by Him that people simply trust and believe.
and i challenge you
if you want to truely know if He is alive and real......
Ask Him.
ok, if you are real--show me in a way I can truely understand and in a way that is undeniable.
but if He is real then comes the ?, what will you do with that knowledge?
are you going to be willing to follow Him?
cuz He will want to begin a relationship with you. And before I end this answer, please hear this. He does love you very - very much.
any more ?, feel free to ask them again.......!!
