my best friend (mark) is good friends with all these people in a band. one of those people in the band are named John. Mark called me with John on the other line. We talked for a while, and Mark showed John my myspace. Apparently, he thinks I am "insanely hot" and was talking to Mark about how bad he wants to "bone me." I was joking around on the phone and told John I'd give him a lapdance if he gave me and some friends a ride to the movies. So i probably led him on or something. Because I don't do things like that. Mark is having a party on Saturday and the whole band is going to be there. I'm afraid this guy John is going to try something on me and I'm not sure how to handle this. I've heard some bad things about John also, that he's an alcoholic and has a bad home-life. I know the typical answer is to "not go" to the party but I'm going to eventually meet this guy John somewhere because he's friends with a lot of people I know. And I really want to go to this party. what to do?

Just simply tell him that he never took you and your friends to the movies so, why expect to get the lap dance. Then tell him that you were only kidding when you said what you said and that you're sorry if you misled him in any way. Make it clear to him that you did not mean to. If you do go to the party, make sure you stay around a crowd at ALL times. You also need to make sure someone is around when you talk to him. This advice is only if he comes up to you. I would not go to him for any reason, especially if there might be alcohol involved

oh thank god you havent actually done anything yet. i would also say dont go to this party, bu tif you REALLY wnat to go, make sure you bring a protective responsible girlfriend ( like older sister type...) who will be able to pull you out of any situation that gets out of your control, dotn drink or eat ANYTHING cuz of the whole spiked punch crap guys pull and always have your phone with you. plus, dont go anywhere without your gf bcuz you dont wnat to get forced in to anything. so many girls get date raped, or tricked into drinking alcohol that they actually make a REAL sex mistake.
and next time, dont tell a guy youd give him a lapdance for a ride to the movies. ..god how stupid...
not ONLY do you come off as a cheap skank to other people... its almost a free ride to getting raped, because he'll think your a tease or something...

well.. do go.. parites are alwys fun!.. heres the thing you need to make sure that you are always visible to people .. perhaps be with one friend or the other all the time.. eventually you will have to talk to John, but just be careful.. enjoy your self and call on to a friend as soon as you feel uncomfortable. Besides if you happen to talk about ur bet n all.. explain to him that it was a joke!..

i say go. just don't get into the alcohol. that would make you vulnerable. if you get drunk you will probably do something you will regret. Trust me. it happened to one of my friends. i think all you have to do is always be with another person, like a buddy; that way you would never be alone with John. Then maybe the next day or so you can talk to him and sort things out with him.

I would just go to the party and behave like the lady that you are and tell this guy that you were just joking around. Do not compromise yourself in any way. Be yourself and have fun.

ok people somones not thinking here u made some bad choices but i think if u take a freind ur not atracted to but u know he likes u alittle i would take him and ask him to be wit you the whole night and watch over you and make sure nutting happens
