1 small onion, chopped
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon celery seed

In a blender or food processor, process all ingredients until smooth and thickened. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Shake well before serving.

My moms homemade French Dressing. Very Good!

Ingredients
1 cup Canola oil (or 1/2 canola and 1/2 safflower)
2/3 cup Ketchup
1/4 tsp Celery seed
2/3 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Cider vinegar
2 tsp Paprika
1 Small onion

Preparation
Put all ingredients in blender. Cover and blend well. Chill before serving.


Yields close to 3 cups

Zesty French Dressing

Ingredients

(1 servings)

1 c Corn oi
1/4 c Vinegar
1/8 ts Pepper
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Paprika
1 ds Celery salt
1 ts Sugar
1/8 c Ketchup
3 ts Lemon juice
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 Garlic clove


Instructions

Measure ingredients into a jar with a tight seal. Shake well. Chill for several hours. Remove garlic. Shake before serving.

You will need
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp ketchup
4 Tbsp olive oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
salt and pepper
1 blender
1 spoon
Blend the ingredients
Add 3 tablespoons of ketchup into the blender. Follow with the lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, sugar, salt then pepper and finally add the oil. Place the lid on the blender and pulsing a few times blend well together. And your French dressing is made!

Here's a good recipe for you.

1 Tbsp grated onion or 1/2 t onion powder
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika

Shake well.

Variation:
Replace onion and paprika with 1 tsp ginger, and use sesame oil for half the oil, for a dee-lishous oriental ginger dressing that will be the envy of your friends.

1/4 C. Water
1/4 C. red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 C. olive oil
3/4 C. vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients. Chill. Shake well before serving.

mayo

i don't know how 2 make french dressing but to make thousand island dressing you use ketchup and mayonaise!!!
