Just use the pull down menu next to File type (or some such) when you go to open a file. You can probably choose All or .doc to see word documents.

Peace!

It depends upon which versions of both programs are used. I use Work Perfect 12. It will automatically open Microsoft Word 2003 (and earlier) files. Click on file and open. Change (if necessary) the file type to all documents. Double click on the Word document and it will be converted automatically. When you try to save the document, it will ask if you want to save the file in Word format or convert it to Word Perfect.

If you are using an older version of Word Perfect and the file will not open automatically, you must first open the file in Word. Then use file, save as. Change the file type to an old version of Word Perfect (usually 5.x). Then you can open the file in Word Perfect. However, you will probably lose some of the formatting by going through this method.

I don't believe that you can directly open these documents but I'm not sure as I haven't used wordperfect in years and the newer versions may have this ability. Do you have Wordpad? You may have better luck using that. I would check with Microsoft.com and see if they have a viewer or converter for you.
Sorry I can't help more.

I do not know about Wordperfect, but you can use OpenOffice to do it.
