I recently became someone's girlfriend. Although I really like him, I still have doubt on his feelings, and interest in me. He's not shown any sign of a bad boyfriend but I've found myself looking for any flaw in his action. Since I've been hurt by guys in the past, it is difficult to believe my bf's words. Should I assume my bf is guilty (or not genuine) until proven innocent (genuine) so I can avoid another heartache? Or am I not being fair to him?

It doesn't sound like you want to be with him.

It also sounds like your just protecting yourself. That's fine, and you should continue doing that, but if you don't let your guard down slowly your going to drive the good guys away.

Good luck!

I think you need to cut him some slack. Because not all men are losers. If he said he's telling the truth then you need to trust him. Or in the long run he's going to end up leaving you. No one likes to be blamed for lying when they aren't.
I hope this helped and good luck.

Your not being fair with him, but until you have been with him for quite a while, I would not let my guard down. I would assume nothing (at least I would not say anything) until I knew the facts, unless the thing speaks for itself.

You're just being cautious based on your past experience. That's okay! Take things slow.
