Clothing...If you like swimming, maybe get a nice sarong to go over your bathing suit. Or a nice Hawaiian print dress or top, not the touristy stuff (check out http://www.manuhealii.com they are pricey but you'll get to see at least samples of what is available).

If you wear jewelry, definitely go for Hawaiian design jewelry. It's actually very popular amount girls and women in Hawaii. It comes in silver and gold. They literally have everything and anything over there. But if i were you i'd ask for a "Maui Babe Tanning lotion set". I bought some when i was over there back last summer and it is awesome! it is made out of kona coffee and works great. I can go to the pool and put some on and in like 30 minutes i have a tan. i love it and its not real expensive either. Tell your mom that she can find it at any of the ABC stores along Waikiki or at Hilo Hatties - she will more than likely know what i am talking about when you tell her those stores! hope this helps you out!
