I know this sounds weird, but it's a fake boiled egg made from reconstituted egg, and it's very very long. I'm sure they used to be made with real eggs, but they been done this way for years. My dad used to work for a bakery where they made them (a long time ago) and he brought one home to show us because we didn't believe him.

I've had an end of egg in my slice. I prefer the yolk. I've no idea how they put the egg in there - maybe the same way they make scotch eggs. Now I'm hungry!!!
