No - in fact, it would be more difficult if you moved to LA, where everyone and their brother are trying to work in the film industry. Build up a clientel where you are. Advertise your services and work on smaller projects like weddings or family reunions for people so that you have some experience when a film does come along. India and France shoot a lot of movies. And in the states, Utah is known as East LA and there is a lot of work there.

Any kind of background in post production would be helpful...also a relative in the business as a sponsor. Getting into film school isn't hard, paying for it is another matter. UCLA is known to be the best. You might think about Toronto, so many films from US filmakers are shot there. Good luck, the film business in the US is constantly changing, its all about the deal. Follow the money.

Well, after you get your education you might want to try Ca.. My friend worked in New Zealand working on two major films. He lives in Ca. Got his degree from Berklee School of Music in Boston. He does the music mix on the major films. UCLA has a good program for Film. Look it up online. Start your own film production company in Ireland!

After your training, I think you could do pretty well in London. There is a lot of film production there...
