can a person drawing social security adopt foster kids or would they loose ther own income I have a friend who wants someone to answer this one

You should discuss this with the case worker for your foster child. However, you shouldn't use foster children or adoption subsidies as a form of income - and if you can't make ends meet as it is, adding another member to your family is not a good idea. It is possible you would not be approved for adoption anyway due to insufficient income to support the child.

not sure how they would provide financially because adoption subsidies are rare and a person on a fixed income would likely barely be able to meet their own needs. If they could meet this criteria, I would guess they would be able to adopt. I would suggest they ask they child's social worker.

Your freind is not finacialy able to care for a child unless they have another means of income.
