I think this exciting new Congress we just voted in is going to make things a lot worse. Get the Reps back, and tighten up these sloppy rules in the blue states (did you know that Oregon, for one, hands out driver's licenses to illegals-- rather than reporting and turning them in?). Robin Hood theft is like any other-- unjust.
Having said this, there is another point of view. Illegal immigrant workers contribute a large percentage of the Social Security fund to begin with. This amount, though, is heavily disputed, according to my husband. Also, how this money actually gets into the system with bogus S.S. numbers (see the following link) is a mystery to me.

They've been paying into social security for decades. They were only allowed into the system as of October 2005. They will never put even a dent into the billions they have paid into it over the years. The U.S. has a special fund where they have been placing these 'illegal' funds. Bet your bottom dollar that this government has been dipping into those funds, just like they have those funds that are so-called "legitimate".
People need to know what they are talking about before they pass judgment.

If they worked here, met the work quarters and had it deducted from their paycheck by employers, they should qualify. Many people think the intention is to grant benefits to all illegal immigrants. That is not the case. Addendum-I would like to see flatline's soure of information regarding eligibility, from a federal source.

Illegals are eligible for social security after 18 months of work, U.S. citizens are eligible after 10 years of work. hmmmmmmm? is this some kind of accident?, did someone overlook this? no, our government is not working on our behalf, they don't care, and the middle class families are paying the price. When are we going to riot in street and fight to take back our country? THEY KEEP ON PUSHING US !!!
