Isn't that competitive? Doesn't Jehovah know about your witnessing anyways? Does it push some people into lying about their hours? That's how I felt when I was brought up as a Witness.

--My wife & I pioneered for over 14 years together, we never really liked the reporting--even today--altogether we have been in the truth about 85 years.
--There are those who act superior because of their activity, and that is there problem.
--As an elder for over 25 years, I never heard of anyone cheating, but who knows.
--Although, it acts as a survey in determining, how much literature needs to be printed, and if help is needed in lands and states where the need might be greater. Monies, time & effort could be waisted otherwise.
--In actuality , I am sure Jehovah, nor Christ care much about those registered times, I could care less if it was indeed done with.

There are things done in the organization that shows that Jehovah is using an imperfect organization, that is a very small item, but good question anyway. We hope the best for you!

Because when asked, the Watchtower only release figures of active publishers, not just anyone who walks through the door or ever called themselves a JW, like other religions do. If you start counting all of them, instead of 6 million, you get 15 million. My mother has not been out in the service in over a year, due to health reasons. My stepfather just went out this last weekend for the first time in two years, not since he had a stroke.

This is not to say that she doesn't witness to people, but is not able to get to the Kingdom Hall to turn in the time. She attends meetings by telephone hookup. Since witnesses have no rituals and meetings are primarily for education, she doesn't have to be there in person. They do attend for the Memorial on Niacin 14.

The hours you preach is very personal. If you see as competitive then you have a problem.

Preaching is between you and God.

The Jehovah's witness organization try very hard to get the word of God to everyone. It is a very important task. They probably count the hours so that they can see how many people are accepting the truth about the bible compared to the hours preached? I don't know.

If Jesus was on earth im sure he will be putting in many hours of preaching, that is all he did when he was on earth.

Let me ask you...How much time does your church spend preaching from door to door and town to town like Jesus did?

What would have happened if Jesus never would have preached at all like most churches do?

Competitive? HARDLY! ROFLMAO. They could care less what others get. They are just PROUD to be able to do it for Jehovah. They do this so the Governing Body of Witnesses at Bethel in New York will be able to keep track of hours and as an ex-Witness YOU KNOW THIS! So, your little, "why do" just got blown out of the water for the little "boo hoo, i hate them" that it is. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but its not their fault, so what did YOU DO, to feel this way?

No one should lie about their hours, as it doesn't prove anything. In fact, its a point of pride to be honest and truthful if you got less hours some months. As the Witnesses say, "Time and unforeseen occurrences befall us all." Meaning sh*t happens and no one can control the things outside their lives. By lieing your just playing into Satan's hand, and that's the last thing anyone in the congregation would want you to feel, as your brother or sister-in-Christ Jesus.

After all, they love Jesus and want to worship Jehovah and love his son Christ with you forever.

Because they believe in good works instead of grace. Look at it this way, if you don't know Jesus, you have the pressure to perform so you can get into heaven, or in this case paradise. Glad your seeing the light about that organization, go to a bible believing Christian church.

I think that at the end of each month the one with the most hours gets to go to Chucky Cheese Pizza.

Because they are people who try to show off what they did for God.In reality they dont even witness God they are false teachers.Sad .I pray for them.I hope they see Jesus is God and have courage to search it on the web and see text that pprove Jesus is God.I hope you stay away from that and find who God truly is.Youll know what true love is.And not judging others.i know most JW punish those who commit sin like if they are all perfect.
