#1 - Poverty, this was the main reason why guerillas came to be
# 2 - Violence - Guerillas, Narco-traffic, street violence
# 3 - Drugs - the money from this problem finances the guerillas and buys corruption at all levels
However, it is a beautiful country full of great people and we cope with all of this amazingly well...

Probably the most well known problem in colombia is the country’s armed conflict with guerilla groups (FARC, ELN, etc). It’s been going on for 42 years.
