I was wondering if anyone knew of some sort of site where it asks you things and then tells you your best options for your wedding? I know pretty much nothing about weddings so I was wondering if someone could help me out? Like how many bridesmaids and stuff can you have? Also anyone know of a site where I can look at designer wedding dresses? Thanks so much!

http://www.theknot.com

I started there.

Then I went to

http://www.ezweddingplanner.com

Look at dresses on

http://www.davidsbridal.com

Also you may want to look at some of the past questions/answers that have been posted so far. Lots of peopel have the great ideas on doing everything from starting to plan to honeymoon and wedding advice.

I would also suggest getting a subscription to Brides Magazine. If you want some money saving ideas- just drop me an email and i will send you tons!

Also- if you have a JCPenneys near you, go and sign up for their wedding registry (you dont really have to have people use from them). Once you put 15 items on your registry you can go and get this HUGE binder full of helpful things to plan a wedding- and it is FREE!!!

Hit up all Bridal Shows in your area, look at as many websites that you can and take TONS of notes.

You can have as many bridesmaids as you wants, noting the larger your wedding party is, the more it will cost you.

It's your big day. What ever you want goes. I am a wedding photographer. Each wedding is different. You can have as many bridesmaid you want. Normally its base on how much the bride and groom can spend. What ever flowers real or fake. You choose if the bridesmaid carry a bouquet or single flower or nothing at all. Some carry a bible or ribbon even a single candle. Some at the end of the wedding give the flower to the mothers of the groom and bride.

I would start

Make a list of people to invite so you will know how many will be attending the wedding. Don't forget to add in guest if you say 1 guest. Also if they have kids add the in if kids are invited.

Destination. Once you get a total find a place that can hold that many. Always plan for a little more just in case. Most of the time they wont all show. But just in case

Bubbles or Seeds
Decide what you want and start making them. You can get all the things you need at Wal-Mart. Tie a ribbon around the bubbles or tie the lace closed with the ribbon. Use ribbon in the color of your wedding theme.

Reception
Will there be music..food..band…dancing...or
Keep it simple with cake, punch, nuts, &mints.
With food some people do an entire dinner, buffet, or finger foods.

Napkins, Plates, Cups and more.
Do you want everything to have your initials or not. I would go to Hobby Lobby and get tons of napkins, and plates small and large. In your colors.

Make a hair appointment, and Order you cake!!! As soon as you have a date.

Photography this one is tricky. Look at there albums front to back. As many as you can. Get details Ask questions. This is very important. You have to like the photographer's style and personality he/she will be around you all day.

OH there is so much more to say. But that is a start.

CONGRADULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK~

Remember its your day try not to stress if something goes wrong no big deal move on.

I loved the site www.theknot.com and I still use it when helping my friends with their events! Or you could even try www.weddingchannel.com. they are both amazing sites.

And as I saw someone suggest, check out bridal shows and wedding planners! They can HELP SO MUCH!

I saw someone suggest to you about David's Bridal. Good luck with that place, I hated it and had the worst luck there! I couldn't get anyone to help me, they were only interested in getting me in, buying stuff and getting me back out! And lets face it, my wedding party (just the females) consisted of over 20. So if they had given me a little bit of time, they could have made major money! I compare it to the WalMart of Bridal Shops! Go to Macy's or a boutique and then go to WalMart and compare the service-no comparison right, exactly! Maybe the one in your area is better, but good luck!

Congratulations and Good Luck!

theknot.com is a good start, as are bridal magazines. Look through those, talk to your mother/his mother/your best friend, then get a planner! No need to stress yourself unnecessarily.
