Do crunches upside down.
That will be dificult and will only get a few reps (10-20) depending on your tone right now.
That WILL do it!

I started at 30. I too, am trying to get abs and get rid of fat. I increase the crunches by 10 per day. Start at 20 and increase by 5 if you aren't fit. And yes, pilates helps your butt, abs, arms, and legs. As of other exercises, my whole routine is: 30(+10) crunches, 20 push-ups(+10), arm stretches with both arms 20 seconds(+10sec), leg stretches(sit down, put your right leg out, bottom of left foot touching right leg) for 20 sec(+10 sec), do leg stretches again with left for 20 sec(+10sec), run up and down stairs 5 up, 5 down if wanting to go up stairs after stair run, walk up. I do these everyday before I go to sleep. I'm also going to start pilates soon. I'm doing beginners and 20 minute workout. And diet wise: Special K diet is really good. At Specialk.com. Hope I helped.

I like standing up ab exercises.
Here is an easy one;
Every OTHER day, pick up something heavy, and HOLD it for 60 seconds. Heavy is when you are holding it, it becomes HEAVY at 30 seconds. IF heavy the second you pick it up, that is too heavy!!
When you pick up something heavy, bend your knees, bend your elbows, and bend over while holding the weight. I use a wall clock with a sweep hand laid on the floor to keep track of 60 seconds.
By bending your joints, your bones do not hold the weight, your muscles do.
Tightens UP the stomach, and every thing else. A bonus.
Once a week, increase the weight by 1 pound.
