Make sure you follow carefully the doctor's orders. She has been seen by the Pediatrician, yes? Her kidneys are at risk if you do not have her seen by a physician, or at least a Nurse Practitioner if you live in the boonies.
To prevent reinfections, the NP or Doctor should have some pointers about hygiene practices for little girls, be sure Mom pays attention to that advice, too.
Real cranberry juice may help somewhat, be sure to get the real juice, not the Cranberry Drink, you will have to read the label. If you get the 'drink' with lots of corn syrup it will make things worse.
You should cut down on candies and sugar-laden breakfast cereals like Fruit Loops and the like. Even better, eliminate these altogether.
Try oatmeal with real fresh fruit in it, like strawberries and raspberries.
Most imporatant of all, be sure her progress is checked by an M.D. or N.P. until she is completely UTI-free as determined by normal urine test results as well as being symptom free.
On the outside chance, make sure there is no one who might have been molesting her.

Drink a ton of cranberry juice, unsweetened [or the OceanSpray Diet, i love that higher, it is obviously sweeter] and plenty of yougurt, the brand new Activa is pleasant considering that it is acquired plenty of the cultures had to aid a well UT, give up ingesting any orange juice, it hurts whilst you pee it out, and drink tons of water. [you will have to be peeing at final five instances an afternoon, at least] put on a pantiliner and difference it in general. If it doesnt depart in per week and a part, pass to the wellbeing division and inform them you want remedy instantly or you are going to the ER. If they decline, it is to the ER, it might increase right into a bladder or kidney illness = BAD.

I don't know if it's a cure, exactly, but have your child drink cranberry juice or take cranberry supplements. For some reason it's really good for people who frequently get UTIs and it can stop you from getting future ones.

Cranberry Juice seems to work the best, and lots of it. Make sure it's not the cocktail kind. Use 100 percent.
