i backed into my wifes car with my truck. the insurance company told me they where not going to charge me a deductible because we were on the same policy. why is that?

probably because it happened with in the family,,and it would just be money exchanging hands from one to the other,,it wouldn't make any sense to charge you a deductible,,on something like this,,good luck hope this help,s.

why r u questioning this policy? be happy & yes some companies are filed with the state that they waive deductible if u hit a car with the same insurance. check your policy.

Some companies have this provision built into their policies. Count your blessings (and the few extra bucks!)

It could just be their policy, as a customer service bonus for you. They don't have to, so consider yourself lucky!
