Ask her how her day is going, and how her life is. Talk about her family and ask some question about it and if there is anything she doesnt like about it try to compare it to your family to make her feel better about hers. Ask about music and movies and tell her what you like. What pets does she have? What are their names and can they do anything cool? How old are they? Ask those same questions for siblings too and maybe complain about how annoying little ones are but how you think that having one or two someday might be cool. BE RANDOM! It will make her smile and laugh when you bring up some random thing you are thinking about. And randomly ask her what she is thinking about when there is a somewhat awkward silence. Have fun!
