Like many people said in above post the best thing to do is to take your dog to the vet. Your dog can have an ear infection, yeast infection in the ear, or mites. You should have your dog looked at by the vet and have them determine the cause and proper medication. It's better to do this than play guessing games and jeapordize your dog's health. Good Luck

If it's Ear Mites then there is usually a black substance down in the ear. You need to clean the ear out, Just use a damp cotton ball since its probably sore inside. Then wipe it out with a dry cotton ball. You can put some Neosporin in the ear to help heal up any scratches from the dog digging at it. Do this for a few days to see if that helps,

Yes it is ear mites is there is a lot of build up in his ear brown or black. To get rid of this you can take him to the vet if it is really bad so that they can rinse his ear and give him medication. If its not that bad then you can get the medication for him from a vet office for about 14$ and then what you do is clean his ear with Q-tips to get as much stuff out as possible then put the drops in to his ears when you put them in pull up on the ear so that the drops go all the way in to his ear then rub his ear to massage it through out the ear.

Ear mites usually do not cause a lot of pain. It could be an ear infection, or he could have got something in his ear. If the yelping continues you need to take him to the vet.

Ear mites look like black crust in a dog's ear. More than likely, it's an ear infection. If the ear is red and looks greasy, get him into the vet's for some ear meds. Good luck!

The only way he has ear mites is if he is in close living quarters with cats that have ear mites.

I would take him to the vet and see if it's an infection.

Yes , it probably is ear mites. Poor little thing. Take him to the vet, they will give you drops and he will feel much better. Just keep the drops to use later if you have to.
Make sure to use the drops for the number of days they tell you or the mites could come back. Even if your doggie may start to feel better sooner and you might think its OK to stop using them, but please use them for ever how many days they tell you.

The best person to answer this question is a vet. I would say if your dog is yelping it may have an infection and will need to be treated. No matter how much you describe your dog's problems no one can see your dog to correctly diagnose the problem. Take the dog to the vet,do not diagnose yourself because you can make the problem worse.

DON'T PUT ANYTHING IN IT'S EAR UNTIL YOU FIND OUT WHAT IT IS! Sounds like an ear infection anyway. I'd suggest taking him the the vet and let him/her decide. Good luck!
