i have been on the march of the living last year and thought i wanted to do birthright right after now that i am 18 but i am having second thoughts and want to wait. while you're at it, how was the trip? was it simialr to the march itself? and also, when should i go?

Hey! I went on Taglit in 2003. Generally the ages start at 18 and go up to something in the 20's. If you are 18 you are definitely not too young! You really should go for the experience and trust me, you will not regret it! And you will make new friends, that's for sure! It is not similar to the march of the living tour. They are 2 totally different experiences. Birthright is only in Israel and they take you all over. Birthrite was one of my best experiences ever and I encourage you not to miss the opportunity! I went in January which was during winter, but the the weather was fine and not too cold yet. Summer in Israel is a killer, so I think the beginning the of January tour is the best option! Have fun! :)

I was 18 when i did taglit birthright and i definately highly reccomend it!! I was the same as you, i didn't know anyone going and i was sure i was going to be the youngest (which i was but it was still amazing). You meet so many amazing people both on your trip, and in Israel.

I went this past july and cannot stop thinking/talking about my trip. When i got there i immediately extended my trip to stay for about a whole month. I don't regret going on this trip at all, and you will regret it if you don't sign up. Think about it, a FREE trip to one of the most beautiful, culturally and religiously ripe counties in the world; even if you somehow don't enjoy the people you travel with (which is virtually impossible..they're all great) you'll experience the beauty of israel and the israel people...i haven't encounted anything so genuine and gorgeous. Not to mention how much cool stuff you learn about the country.

DEFINATELY worth it..just sign up!
