Very much...what also bothers me a lot is our stone age health care system, the cost of higher education, our lack of a good ground transportation system , esp in the west. So much could be done here in the good ol usa, if our priorities were reset, following the example of other industrialized countries. War doesn't really solve that many problems..and the losses as a result are irretrievable...It should be entered into as an absolute last resort, and corporate interests shouldn't be the reason.

There will always be war among humans because there are always people that want to be top dogs and be in power for life. People like Pol Pot, Stalin, Idi Amin Dada, Saddam Hussein, Napoleon, Hitler, Osama Bin Laden are willing to commit mass murder to obtain and retain power. One of the hopes in Iraq besides getting rid of Saddam who we had good reason to believe would do anything he could to hurt the USA was that we could establish a system that would prove to be our ally and help in the long struggle of the war on terror. But how could the Iraqi people trust us when half of us are screaming to bail out? Why would they help resist the insurgents when we might abandon them to be slaughtered by those insurgents just like we abandoned the Vietnamese to be slaughtered by the Vietcong's be. All that thanks to the leftists who insisted that the USA withdraw from Vietnam. I feel sorry for the Vietnam vets because they suffered the greatest betrayal any soldier ever suffered from any country throughout history. People like Jane Fonda are either the biggest fools ever or the most despicable sleazy traitor.

Ever wonder how the parents of the school children in Russia who were shot to death by Islamic radicals would have felt about cutting a few programs or raising their taxes in order to provide more security?
Priorities.

Did they raise taxes? I thought they cut them. Maybe the dems will raise them.
Schools are funded primarily through local and state taxes, neither of which are affected by the war.
But if you ask me, I wish they'd cut everything. Then when the Iraq war finishes, I'll owe no taxes!!!

I'm pretty sure that innocent Iraqis were dieing before we entered the war. And please, I'd love some figures on Iraqi deaths since every dem talks so horribly about them. My guess is that they don't even have a number. But yes, its a sad effect of war. But war is the only way to get the job done. Remember the inspections, negotiations, etc.? No dem seems to want to hear the truth... only what they hear on TV.
