I'm about 15 pounds overweight. I'm 6'4" at 215 or 220 and everyone says I don't look overweight AT ALL, but that's because all the weight is in one area, my stomach. My abdomen seems to have ALL of my body fat. Why is it all in one area and not spread out? I worry that when I start working out and lose that fat, my skin won't retract back. I've seen people with excess skin and wonder if that will happen to me. How overweight do you have to be for that to happen. I can still hide my overweightness pretty well with clothing, but in the buff I can see that I need to lose it in that area. If it would spread out, it's might be okay. But anyway, what do you guys and girls think. Am I too old? Will my skin sag? What can I expect? What should I do?

Sheesh 28? Screw you buddy!! (kidding)
I'm 44 and you're not even CLOSE to being too late, I'm 6'3 and weighed in at a monstrous 255 at one point.

I quit drinking beer, actually quit drinking all together, laid off the carbs, I spent an entire summer canoeing across a lake (about 3 miles round trip) every other day, lost all the weight in 3 mos, got CLOSE to a 6 pack but not that defined, I'm now 185 lbs, feel great and look better than I did at 28!!

The workout will help but you MUST change your diet and if you drink you had better modify that too, liquid fat man, leave it alone and the pounds will fall. That gut will go away too, gotta change the diet though, exercise alone won't do it. Put together an eating plan that suits you, it doesn't have to be all rabbit food. No your skin is still VERY pliable and you're not so overweight that you have stretched it beyond repair.

You CAN do it...

My husband just turned 30 and was worried about the same thing but he used a diet and workout plan from The Fit Bastard (who is now a friend of ours...his real name is Scott).

You are never too old to get in shape and if you do it properly, you can get rid of the fat and get the body you always wanted. Visit Scott's site and check out the free stuff on there to see what you think. Then if you like the plan you can get the books and stuff.

It was the e-book and then the workout plan that my husband used that got the weight off safely while he built an awesome body!! He used the Platinum package that has 365 days of workouts (made it a real no brainer for him) as well as a nutritional plan and it has been something he has stuck with.

Scott is really great at helping people lose weight at any age while building the body they always wanted...My husband lost almost 40 pounds of fat while gaining muscle...

Good Luck! I hope this helps and I hope you like Scott's site and information...

28 is not too old to start exercising and eating right. And if your only about 15 pounds overweight your skin shouldnt sag. Besides exercising and eating healthy have more benifits than just losing weigt like having more energy and being in a better mood.

It's never too late!! Do you want to join a gym, or are you more the at-home type? Search for "kettlebells" - I haven't personally tried it, but a lot of my friends have and they swear by it.

There are lots of programs you can do at home. What do you enjoy? Are you a weight-lifting type? Dancing? Kickboxing? Yoga? Tai-Chi?

Don't worry about dieting - diets do NOT work! Eat smart. Cut processed foods out as much as possible. Eat plenty of veggies. Cut sodas out - they are just BAD for you...all that sugar! Make sure you drink enough water.

It will take some work, but it IS doable. It just depends on how much you want to change.

Good luck!! I'm rooting for you!

Nobody's going to tell you you're overweight - who does that? As far as your skin not retracting back what are you talking about? Your skin will retract back lol. Just work out and stop coming up with reasons to stay fat.

You're 28! I recommend working out at any age. I wouldn't worry about sagging in our case .. you're still young lol!. It's never too late to work out and feel the benefits. Try doing exercises that work that area of your body first.

Well, I think you will be fine. The skin stretches when it is stretched out. But the elasity of you skin will retract. And it also depends on how big you are. That is why the suggest you lose weight slowly. Good Luck!

Its definitely not to late, I wouldn't worry about your skin sagging either, its not like your going to lose it really fast, your body will have time to adjust. Sign up at a gym near you ASAP, 6'4 guys are HOT when their in shape

15 pounds isn't that much overweight. I don't think your skin will sag. Good luck with your weight loss.
