Believe it or not the answer is Yes.

There are numerous factors which can cause this; chief among them is aging.

During my military career I was five feet, nine inches.

I am now retired for 13 years now.

During my last year's Physical Examination the Doctor checked my height and informed me I was five feet, 8 and a half inches.

Check with any Doctor; they can explain the "shrinking" process in better terms.

It is not that people really shrink, but yet that the older people get the more worn down the cartilege between the bones in your spine become, making you become shorter. You can avoid this by taking certain vitamins and taking care of your back.

Yes it is true. A big factor is that the spinal discs between the vertebrae lose fluid...which decreases the spaces between the veretebrae leading to lost height.

Yes ,the cartilage wears down,gravity has taken away that cushion between each vertebra a bit and some of us hunch over a little . .So we are definitely shorter with age .
We water our selves occasionally but it doesn't help us grow .:)

Yes, you might wonder, they even shrink from morning to evening.

yep it's from the backbone breaking down or something you see a weird old lady with comercials all the time
