I ask honestly as I am a History major and I am well educated on how this went down over the course of many many years. I would like to hear the "watered down" and "nice and peaceful" version some people would like to "interperate" their view about it !

I asked a simple question and you couldnt even answer it. You had to cut and paste some bullcrap that you got from some Islamic website that said it was through peace and whatever. Islam, means submit - not peace. If thats your stance, then what we are doing here in Iraq is peaceful and tolerant !

It is actually still happening (in the countries that the government officials are muslim ..."islamic countries")... They force you to become muslim ... if you chose not to become muslim they will make your life hard ... you are not allowed to have certain high paying/government jobs, your children are only accepted in religious schools where they teach islam so they are brain-washed in thinking that their religion is wrong and Islam is right...and if you are atheist or agnostic you are killed at sight... In some cases the government officials kill the family members of the non-muslim communities so that it causes fear in the non-muslim community to make them convert to islam... offcourse they will say to the rest of the people of the country that the person who was killed was guilty of a certain offence (and it is very easy to do something like that when you are running the government)... This is how Islam was spread from a small tribe in the deserts of Arabia to the rest of the world.

In its beginning the people of Mecca refused to listen to the idea of Islam as taught by Muhamad who had had his visions in the wilderness. He left Mecca to go to Medina where they embraced it. At the time Mecca and Medina were rival cities, After that Muhamad wanted Mecca to accept it, so he led a large muslim army into Mecca killed a lot of people, took over the kabba and said one of Abrahams bones was in it, After Muhamad died, people used violence and force to gain leadership positions in Islam.

No massacre, not Hitler, not Viet nam, Not even World war 2 rivals the genocide the Muslims have done in Sudan and Africa.
They have slaughtered whole villages, raped and murdered and tortured to death. Iraq is barely the tip of the ice burg.
That will go down in history as the worst military event ever in the history of the world. Got that off MSN.com news.

Historian Francois Gautier -

Chapter 4 - Islam and the Muslim Invasions “Let it be said right away: the massacres perpetuated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks” http://www.nalanda.nitc.ac.in/resources/english/etext-project/history/gautier/chapter4.html

Google "Durant", thats the same historian Gibson cites in his new movie. He has written a lot about the arab invasions.

The old fashion way, trade and conquest.

My religion asks 'Why do you ask question that you already have YOUR answer for?'

My religion warns 'Do not tempt your God and mine with thinly veiled trickery'.
