If they stop when you change position then they are just Braxton Hicks and nothgin to worry about. I had them from 20 weeks on with my second! In the end I think it makes actual labor easier. I was 5 cm dilated before I thought I "might" be in real labor because I had been havgin so many so often.

They are probably Braxton Hicks. However, go to your doctor and make sure. Better safe than sorry. Everyone told me that I was having Braxton Hicks, and I gave birth at 31 weeks. I waited too long to go to the doctor, because my contractions were not really strong. By the time I did, about 24 hours later I was dialated to 10 and fully ephased. They stopped my labor for 5 days so they could get the steroids to the baby for her lungs to develop, and then I went into labor again. She was 4 pounds, but healthy at 31 weeks. Went home 10 days later and now is turning 7 in 1 week and the tallest in her class. I do wish I'd not listened to everyone telling me that it was normal and not to worry about it. Get it checked out! Congrats

they could just be braxton hicks which are natures way to prepare for birth...they are usually irregular and if they happen when on your right side then do not lay that way,it could be your bodies way of saying it doesn't like laying that way and i was always told not to lay on my right as it's not good for the baby...but of course any questions or concerns call your ob
