As a former born again, now agnostic looking for the truth this book speaks the facts and I highly recommend it, especially to Christians and Christian who have a slight sense of something may just not be right with the bible and want to take a step in opening there mind for a few chapters. I highly recommend everyone Christian, Muslim Jewish whatever would read this book it could change the fricken world...I hope.

I agree. The man has made some very sharp observations and I recommend his book as well.

Though I'm sure the theists here aren't very impressed with my commendation.

I'll keep considering it. I haven't gotten around to it, and I suspect I disagree with Harris' religious/political outlooks. I've heard him on NPR, and I don't get a real "wise man" vibe off of him.

Several people at my church (I'm a Unitarian Universalist) have read him and speak highly of his work, but he just sounds a little grumpy and fundamentalist (in an Atheist sort of way).

Still, I'll keep thinking about it.

I am reading Harris' End of Faith and it puts me to sleep. To each his own.
