No, it is not harmful. A brown part of an old apple is due to either a bruise on the apple or oxidation (after it is cut/bitten). The bruise may be off tasting, but certainly not harmful. After you cut/bite an apple, the brown which appears is a simple oxidation and will not taste any different.

Yes it is harmful to eat brown parts of and old apple. Acid causes the apple to rot and makes the brown parts. If you eat it, then you are putting acid caused by fermentation into your body which could cause you to vomit or get a very bad stomachache.

after you cut into an apple it starts to dry out. The brown part is simple dried apple. Won't hurt you but most choose not to eat it.

it's not harmfull.. it just looks ugly. just like banana's with brown marks. except when the apple is rinkly you might have to consider making calvados or cider

are you talking about the bruised part of the apple? why would you want to eat that it couldn't taste good.

Not really it's either Oxidation or a bruise.It can taste bitter though.
