If you are divorced, then this is a classic case of stalking, and YES it is illegal. You can get a restraining order against him, try to keep a digital camera on you and take pics of the ex or person he is having follow you. Sounds like you did the right thing getting out of this unhealthy relationship. Good luck to you.

It can become illegal, and can be a form of stalking and or harrassment. The problem that might come up is proving it, so you have to document dates, times and locations, because keep one think in mind , as long as there is no restrainting order or some form of protective order, anywhere in the public, you ex can also be at, and his story could just be that he "happened" to be at the same location as you and or your guy. So start documenting.

My X did that to me two years ago. I only found out because it was noted in paperwork that my attorney shared with me.No, it's not illegal or my attorney would have told me so or maybe it is where u live, i dunno, find out. I had no idea I was being followed, kinda scary when u think about it. He proved nothing that was the funniest part. He was strange anyways...he would come home at odd hrs to check on me. Just a freak, don't let it bother u though...he will move on to the next sooner or later.

Well, yes it is illegal. It's like stalking. Stalking is illegal. So, talk to a lawyer or a policeman about what you can do. You would probably also need some kind of proof. It'd be hard to get some hard evidence on him though.

I do not believe what he is doing is illegal if the person(s) following you remain in public areas and do not violate any of your rights. It sucks, but unfortunately, I don't think you can stop it short of getting some sort of restraining order (which is subjective).

stalking is illegal If you do not have a restraining order, get one and file it with your locak police department Then if anything should happen he can be arrested Keep a record of dates, times and event occurred, also keep records of phone calls, I used to have a telephone problem so I had all my calls transferred to voice mail I use AOL call alert to keep record of calls to my number It holds up to 100 numbers That way he can be caught It is a Federal offense to use the telephone line to perpetrate any type of crime

You need to get to the bottom of it. Find out for sure who is following you and then go fill out the appropriate papers to make them quit following you. That is harassment and stalking and is scary. Good Luck
