A man I really like is taking me to dinner for our first date and I want to really dress up and wear high heels but he is only 5'7"
and I am 5'6" and with heels I may be a bit taller than he is. It may sound like a silly concern but dressy shoes are usually high but I don't want him to feel uncomfortable.

There is no problem with this. My girlfriend is 5'9", and I'm about 5'10". She wears 3" to 4" heels, making her taller than me.
I think it's great when women wear heels. I appreciate what they go through to look good.

I like tall women, but not taller than me, I think it is a natural evolution thingie. Anyways I would say wear heels, if you are taller than him he has to deal with that. I mean is not like you are 6`3'' and he´s 5'6''...

Hey girl, I am 6'1 and my wife is 6'. When she puts on her heels, she is taller than I am. I think it is kinda sexy. Only felt this way for 28 years!

If he's attracted to you it shouldn't matter...however, if he is insecure, it might subliminally bother him. Go with regular shoes on the first date and if you hit it off well, "step it up" literally the next date. You might find he thinks they are really sexy and it will be a good move on the 2nd date!

Wear cute flats because a lot of men feel uncomfortable...get to know him and then ask him...but not until you know him better.

If he has low self esteem, then yes this could be a problem. Wear what makes you happy though, because you never know who else you might run into.
