Jehovah's Witnesses are aware of their heritage.

The good along with the bad.

It is one of the reasons I know we have the truth.

It always encourages me to see how Jehovah has steered his people away from false teachings and practices.

The bible is full of examples of the faults of true worshipers.

Jehovah didn't reject them, but he disciples them, shepherded them, guided them, helped them to serve him better.

What set true worshipers apart was their humility and meekness

After Peter denied Christ it said he wept.

Judas after turning against Christ, didn't go to God and ask for forgiveness, but went back to the chief priests. Judas was a man pleaser whereas Peter wanted God's approval.

The secretary of the translation committee of the NIV stated to the effect, they would rather sale their bible and recoup their $2 million dollars than make a more accurate translation.

Why go to second hand sites,

Why listen to apostates

when you can go to the original.

Jehovah witness commemorate the Memorial of Christ's death, the main severe religious adventure of the 365 days for Jehovah's Witnesses. during the 365 days, Jehovah's Witnesses delight in events, picnics, and different activities with out feeling absolute to responsibilities or to a fastened date. they'd even have fun specific activities which includes weddings and anniversaries. whether, Jehovah witnesses do not have fun holiday trips that have non-Christian religious origins or people who sell nationalism. they at the instant are not unfavorable to celebrations ordinarily or to the giving of presents. it's going to be spoke of that Jehovah witnesses have not got faith Jesus is the Messiah yet in simple terms the son of God in simple terms as they have faith that devil is the son of God which makes them brothers. I had a kinfolk member that replaced right into a Jehovah witness and this guy or woman replaced right into a large number. The birthday of Jesus the Christ isn't specific yet replaced into celebrated with the aid of the Bishop of Rome as early simply by fact the 365 days 354 on the twenty 5th of December. The social gathering of our Lord Jesus' beginning has became right into a materialistic holiday (Holyday) and pagan in case you seem at what some human beings do however the authentic social gathering is in worship, compliment and thankgiving for our Lord and savior who shed His useful blood so as that all of us would desire to be cleansed if we relatively repent of ours sins and settle for Jesus as our very own savior. bear in mind, what you enable your self to think of, see, hear, say and do actually directs the path you will stroll in this existence so Lord prepared in case you realize this, concentration you strategies, eyes, ears, tongue and deeds on that that's helpful and robust. Probably 90% or more of Jehovah's Witnesses are well aware that early JWs celebrated Christmas (and birthdays).

Pages 199 and 200 of their official history text (entitled "Jehovah’s Witnesses - Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom") discusses the matter frankly. Every few years, all congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses spend a year or more to review this history text in a weekly series of ten-minute talks. This rich spiritual heritage is neither hidden nor troublesome to any faithful Witness.

2 Cor. :14-18 "what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? or what sharing does light have with darkness? further, what harrmony is there between Christ and Be`lial? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? And what agreement does Gods temple have with idols?.... "Therefore get out from among them, adn separate yourselves"says Jehovah, "and quit touching the unclean thing":"and I will take you in,....and you will be sons and daughters to me,"says Jehovah the Almighty."(Genuine love for Jehovah and a strong desire to e pleasing to him will help a person to break free from unchristian practices that may have had emotional appeal.A person who really knows and loves Jehovah doesnot feel that by shunning practices that honor alse gods or that promote falsehood he is in any way deprived of happiness. Genuine love causes him to rejoice, not over unrighteousness, but with the truth. see 1 Corinthians 13:6

Compare Exodus 32:4-10. Notice that the Israelites adopted an Egyptian religious practice but gave it a new name,"Festival to Jehovah." But Jehovah severely punished them for this. Today we see only 20th century practices associated with holidays. Some may appear harmless. But Jehovah observed firsthand the pagan religious practices from which these originated. Should not his view be what matters to us?

Is is common knowledge that the early Bible Students made mistakes. We are all human. We also believed Jesus died on a Cross. Progress is about learning. As we study and restudy the bible we learn new things. What is important is that when we see something that is wrong we correct, case in point we stopped celebrating Christmas as it is a Pagan celebration.

PS Nothing wrong with Pinatas.

we do know that the early Jehovah Witnesses celebrated Xmas. Jehovah showed us the light so that we don't celebrate a pagan holiday anymore. Jesus Christ was not born on DEC 25. he died on Nisan 14 the last supper or the passover. he was 33.1/2 years old and you count six month forward and you get Oct. also Jesus Christ said to celebrate his death not his birth. which is Nisan 14 the first night of passover each year. that is why we celebrate once a year

Actually, they are. It is in the history book, along with photos. The photos are on the Watchtower web site. So where have you been that you don't know this? They even put in the history book about 1914, 1974, etc.

Why is it Christians aren't told that the U.S. Congress met on Christmas day for business as usual every year well into the 1800's, because it wasn't considered a sacred holiday? (True, BTW). It's easy to find fault with someone else's religion.

All organized religious belief systems are subject to 'changing' their rules and beliefs. . . since the core of their systems are constructed from/by themselves, they have total freedom to believe whatever they choose, whenever they choose.
Early "Jews" would have had no reason to celebrate anyone's birth - as they don't do this today, even . . .

That does not change the fact that they turned when they learned the truth. All Christians should stop celebrating this pagan holy day.
