If a dog has an allergic reaction to a product and it causes neurological problems i.e. loss of ability to use back legs and incontenance is it possible for this to be permanent, or if you remove the cause will the symptoms always go away?

It can go either way, you can have tests done or wait a while and see if it gets better.

If it was a certain brand of flea drops I hope you washed it off real good with Dawn dish washing soap., and rinse well! I know of a dog that had a bad reaction, bladder incontinence and very lethargic, the dog was taken to the vet and brought back home and bathed. Soon the dog was back to normal. I hope it isn't too late for the dog you are referring to.

It depends on what the product is, how soon it got out of the system, what organs it effected, if it was treated quickly or not...
OTC flea products that cause these problems often result in permanent damage.

Usually it's permanent.
You use some meds to alleviate the problem, but damage is permanent.

symptoms should go away if it's allergy. have you brought your dog to a vet please do so ASAP
