I've been with my boyfriend for over a year, he's a great catch but we differ on one issue. He wants to study in my country for three years and I want to go overseas and study and start a career there. The sooner I go, the better my chances of gaining citizenship and starting my life. The problem is, I want him in that life. What path do I take?

No matter how much it will hurt, you need to follow your own dreams and follow your career path; not his. If he truely loves you then he will understand how much this means to you. If he can't though he's not worth it anyways. I know leaving him will be hard, but if it's meant to be it will be. Good luck in your studies, and in life!

While there are many guys out there in the world I can say from personal experience that it really hurts to lose a love. Careers are important but relationships are more important and are what leads to real happiness.

I think you should go. I mean, you love him, but you really need to start a career, and start getting money. You can always find someone else. you can't just set your heart on one person. Go and do what you desire, and go overseas! And think about this, "Is he important enough to stop you from doing what you have always wanted to do?"

Never give up a career for a guy. Sorry, but you can't go back on this. You have one shot at a career, and HOW many guys are there? Keep moving!

If you love him let him do what he needs to do and you do what you need to do and then meet back up together. Easier said than done but if you really love him, you twoo will find a way to make it work. Believe me...there are NOT alot of nice guys out there so if you have one hold on.
