The most powerful lasers on the market are green lasers. Point one at a piece of black construction paper and it will just take a minute or so to see smoke. I don't think there are any powerful enough to light a standard candle in short order (with the exception being trick re-light candles).
You also should NOT use one to harm someone. All it will take is one idiot to misuse one and it will be banned. Therefore I am not including a link to the more powerful lasers being sold to the general public. Instead, I am including a link to a fine laser pointer that can be put to recreational use. Hold it steady enough and it will light "Magic Re-light" candles sold in many joke stores.
