When my new guy and i first started dating he told me about his ex who he was still cool with. they didn't break up on bad terms, his job moved him away and they ended it. so long story short, he talks to her on myspace, so she knows about me. well, the other day, she emailed him and he called her while i was there. they talked for about an hour or so. i was boiling. but i didn't show any emotions to him because i don't want him to think that i'm jealous. was i being selfish by getting mad?

I think you have a right to feel this way, but the best move for you is to talk to him about your feelings and find out what he really feels. You don't want to sound jealous, but let him know you care about him and want to know where he stands in your relationship. I don't think he would like it if you were calling an ex boyfriend. But you have to respect the fact that he calls her in front of you so he's not hiding anything. Just talk to him about how you feel and be reasonable. Tell him if he still has feelings for her, you understand but you want him to be open with you about it.

I don't think you are being selfish at all. I'd be beyond mad and I'd let him know it too. If they are frindly, that is ok, I guess, but to just disrespect you to talk to her in your face. And for a whole hour. You need to address this, or you'll hold it inside and then blow up at him. Just tell him that you did not like it, and ask him ho would he feel if you talked to your ex in front of him. Good luck.

I think it's normal for you to be a little mad. Nobody wants their boyfriend talking to other girls. Especially for hours on the phone. I think you should ask your boyfriend if he still has feelings for her. If he says he doesnt and you believe him then why dont you try and meet this girl. If he really doesnt have feelings for her then he wont mind but if he does then you need to show him to the door.

No. Go with your instincts, and query him about the situation. Would he feels ok if you do the same. If you are a couple, those things should be clear. And make sure your feelings are heard everytime, otherwise things just get bigger and nastier. Plus your relationship should be of no interest to her whatsoever. Good luck.

no hun you are not being selfish by getting mad. i was in the same situation and about 5 minutes into their phone conversation I walked out of his house and left. seriously, you should just tell him how you feel. i think thats is just rude for someone to talk on their phone while you are hanging out with them. people need to learn manners.

You can't help what you feel so as long as you didn't show it then you did fine. Remember if it gets to be to much than explain it to him or a close friend. They'll help you through it.
