If you are both young, which I am assuming you are. She probably isn't good for you. Concentrate on suceeding in life, ie college, getting awesome paying job then the popular chicks will be eating out of your hand. It is best first to ensure your own future than chase popular girls who love their lipstick and popular crowd friends...

You don't know this yet, but populatrity is BS. One you are out of highschool it mean nothing. You are taking a risk , but go for it. You might get hurt, but you are one step closer to becoming more confident. It is hard to get close to the popular, when you are not, but the more confident you are that you are cool, the COOLER you are. If you try to start talking to her with confidence, even if she shoots you down, she will always be thinking about you. She'll always know who YOU are. And that is good. That is the direction you want to get to.

You should stay away from her for now, work hard and make lots of money. And when you become rich, then you will become popular with women. And then you can pick the woman you like.
Getting rewards in life often takes time and a lot of hard work. But if you stick with it, then eventually you will achieve what you strive for.
