If I liked him then when he asked me out if and at that time I could not make it I would have set it for another time. Can't let a potentially good catch get away. Heck, you know he has a job!!!

If you can't go when he asks make sure you tell him you want to go but can't and then ask for a rain check. That way he knows you really want to and are not just letting him down easy.If he invited you somewhere you don't want to go, tell him truthfully and suggest maybe you two can make plans to go somewhere else together at a later time.Make sure you are very clear to him that you do want to date him. If the time has passed when you turned him down , there is no reason why you couldn't suggest getting together at a later time.Go ahead and ask him out. the worst he could do is say No.Good Luck

I would explain the reason that I couldn't go and then make plans for a future date. Or give him your number and he can ask you out again outside of work.

I don't care what the rules are. I would steer clear of dating people at work. It's playing with dynamite. You will have an awkward situation on your hands if it doesn't work out. And more than likely, it won't work out.

If I could not go I'd tell him I couldn't go. However I personally would NEVER date someone from work.If it doesn't work out or it ends badly there will be way to much tension after wards

don't ask him out while your at work, waite till after work, on break, or somthing.... then ask him. And if he asked you first you never asked him... then that would make it only once that you asked him? Right?
He asked you 1 time

When he asks you out, you apologize that you have a previous engagement and ask for a rain check.
