If you haven't been to one, no need to answer.

For those who have seen an EP, can you tell me about your experiences? How they help? Was it successful? Did it help with injury etc.

I had a slipped disc once & attended the EP.

During the sessions, the therapist would need to know where you are having the pain & your pain level. Then he'll try to massage the area affected and gauge from there, what exercises or stretches he'll need to teach you. You'll need to continue practising the exercises & stretches at home. Sometimes he may even need you to use some apparatus like the gym ball to help your stretches.

My worst case was I need to do traction on my spine & neck. It was painful but bearable.

I would say that it had helped me quite a lot as my pain has subsided reasonably.

I haven't been, I play sport regular and have not had any major injuries to warrant to attend a exercise physiologist. I will need to go later in life for health check-up reasons.
Nothing hereditary.
