Allowed? Yes (may vary by strictness of parents if a minor)
Recommended to? Not so much. But it does happen frequently, my sister, for example married a man of a different faith- so far they've been able to make it work pretty well.

No. To be direct: For a mormon to date outside the religion, it is not prohibited. It happens quite often. However the ones that actually live the church standards and believe in the teachings will probably marry another Mormon inside the Temple. Mormons who live their religion are always the most upstanding people and are great influences to the ones around them. I've seen it firsthand.

Mormon's make choices for themselves. They even marry outside of the religion, so dating is certainly not out of the question. She may just not like you.

More like encouraged not to...but not strictly prohibited.
When I was mormon, I just remember people telling me over and over again, "Don't date anyone you wouldn't marry." And it's basically required for mormons to get married in one of their temples supposedly in order to make it to the highest place in heaven....in order to go inside a temple, you have to be mormon.... so in other words... they were telling me in a roundabout way not to date outside of the mormon religion.

It's discouraged. Ones relationship has eternal consequences in the Mormon religion. In order to become exalted (i.e., become a god)...marriage in one of their temples is necessary. And only Mormons are allowed in the temple. So, if a Mormon seeks to become a god in the afterlife, then they would have to marry another Mormon.

I have NEVER heard of anybody being FORCED to do anything they didn't want to do. We are given the guidance and it is up to us if we want to follow it or not. They are allowed to date outside of their Religion, just advised not to. The main idea behind dating is to help a person decide who to marry as when they are married in the Temple, we believe they will be married for TIME AND ETERNITY, not just for their time on Earth. The reason being that when someone gets married they usually want to have the same ideals, morals and similar background, it just causes less problems.
As far as being married in the Temple, yes, we do believe that it takes both of them working together and be married in the Temple to reach the Celestial Kingdom(Highest Level of Heaven, where Jesus is at) in the the EXALTED STATE.
Yes only members can enter into the Temple, but even they have to be worthy enough to go in and do SACRED NOT SECRET Ordinances. They have to have an interview with their Bishop to confirm their worthiness. So it isn't just NON-MEMBERS that can NOT go into them. I have been a member for a number of years and yes I have had my trying times and even I am NOT able to go into the Temples. I can only go as far as the general public can.

We can, but its not encouraged, because you may fall in love and get married but then you can't be sealed in the temple together(though being married outside is even MORE unencourage, its allowed) Though, if your young and there are no members too date then sometimes you have no choice

yes we are but it is a burden trying to date outside of the church. i know from experience. i was dating this guy and he was baptist and i was mormon and his family continually said rude things about mormons when ever i was around, which put a strain on our relationship. but not every relationship i had outside of my religion ended with cross words, in fact i married a very, very nice southern baptist boy and we are still married today. he is mormon now but for the first 2 years of our marriage he went to his church and i went to mine on sundays. it was very lonely sitting on the church pugh by myself. i'm just glad he's there now.

I don't think they are even encouraged to associate with those outside of the religion other than via ministering to them.
I don't like door-to-door god salesmen of any variety, but I DO give the Mormons points for being very nice and polite; others are far more obnoxious.
