Don't worry!!!
You're gums are probably dark because of the melanin pigment in them, just like ur skin, gums can be colored according to race.
I dont know if there's a way to make them pink, as a dentist.

It depends on what race you are. African Americans have a darker pigment to there gingiva due to the color of their skin. Have they always been black around the teeth? If you feel that this is something that has just come about then maybe you should visit your Dentist.

IF you are dark skinned, your gums will be brown around your teeth (obviously!)
unless you've got extremely bad tooth rot (and you probably haven't if you look after your teeth i.e no cavities...........

You should see a doctor. It could be a gum infection later on.

One of the major symptoms of Scurvy is blackened gums.
do you get enough vitamin C?
eat oranges, lemons and limes to add vitamin c to your diet.
This is how the English Navy got their nickname of Limeys
because they used limes to supplement their vitamin C on long voyages to prevent Scurvy.
