I've been on vacation and the last week or so I've been sleeping for about 12 hours a day. I have never slept this much so consistently in my life. I think the reason is I just want to continue dreaming since some of the dreams I've had have been very interesting. So I have a dream and then I just lay in bed thinking about it until I go back to sleep wishing to continue the dream and end up having another dream and continuing the cycle. But when I do wake up I wake up feeling just fine physically the only thing is that most of the day is over by the time I wake up. My question is for health reasons is sleeping this much more harmful or beneficial as good rest.

Sound like a form of depression, you need to get out and let the fresh air get into your lungs.

Not if it's temporary. You are just treating yourself for a while. If it lasts a month or more, then you just are not doing physical things to keep your body youthful and healthy and will slow your metabolism to a crawl and everything you eat will become fat instead of lean muscle.

IF YOU DID IT ALL OF THE TIME. NOT GOOD , BUT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR JUST RELAXING SINCE YOUR ON VACATION. I KNOW WHEN I WAS SICK THE MORE I SLEPT THE MORE TIRED I BECAME.
