I thought it was very thought provoking and convicting, I was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts or comments on the book if you read it. :)

(Luke 16:27-to-31) Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

(Luk 16:28) For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

(Luk 16:29) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

(Luk 16:30) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

(Luk 16:31) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets,= = neither will they be persuaded, = = though one rose from the dead.

Thanks,RR

Is that the book where the guy claims to have had an out-of-body experience where he visited the Biblical version of hell? Correct me if I'm wrong, because I haven't read the book, but I've heard about it and that's what I've understood it's about.

If I'm correct in my assumption, then the premise of the book doesn't convince me. I've done a lot of research on out-of-body experiences; OBE's are HIGHLY subjective. In other words, if you were Muslim and had an OBE, you'd probably think you met Allah and experienced the Muslim version of Heaven or Hell. If you were Buddhist, you'd meet Buddha. If you worshipped the Greek gods, you'd meet Zeus. If you were atheist or agnostic, you'd meet Christ if you were Christian earlier in life, or perhaps someone entirely different, or maybe even no one at all. If you have one of those experiences, you can report back claiming you've encountered or met up with anything that can possibly be created by the human imagination. Seriously, if you have some free time, search "out of body experiences" online and read about some of the experiences people have had. Some people report going places and witnessing things that totally go against everything in the Bible. OBE's are highly, highly influenced by the mind and a person's pre-set beliefs.

Whether OBE's are "real", or whether it's all in your head, is another issue entirely, but regardless, they definitely don't prove one religion over the other. I'm not claiming that he made up his story, but speaking as someone who's done a lot of research in this area, it doesn't convince me.
