Im 24, and have known this guy for almost 5 yrs, he knows ive had a bf for almost 4 yrs, but since he knows im moving soon, he called me drunk and confessed that he's been in love with me since the day he met me, my friends had teased me about this for yrs saying that he had a crush on me, but i never believed it. What do i do now? Stay friends? Act as if nothing happened? I tried to talk about it the next day and he acted like nothing happened

He was drunk...but thats what made him brave, he does remember which is what makes this so awkward....he even told a mutual friend about it

I feel bad that im contemplating ending the friendship...but its not bc im cold, rather it is bc i have no idea how hard it must be for him to hear about how happy i am with my bf. See, it is in fact bc i care so much about his feelings that i would rather spare him the pain. I know what it feels like to love and not be loved in return, ive been there.

the same thing happened to me. Drunks, are veryy bad liars. When youre drunk all you do is tell the truth. So i think he sincerely meant what he said. I think you should try talking to him again about it & tell him that if what he said was true, not to be embarassed about it. & tell him how you honestly feel about it. whether you like him like that or not, you know?

Oh man I feel for ya girl! I'm 23 and my best friend of 10 years tells me all the time he loves me and asks me when we are going to give a relationship a try. When he is drunk it get worse! I wouldn't just don't stop being his friend, that's not what you want. If he is playing it off like it never happened then you should too. Unless you have different feelings for him, otherwise just roll with it.

I can understand where youre coming from, i had a similar thing happen to me, and now i have a hard time believing a guy really wants to just be my friend. Just let him know you love him as a friend...and if he really cares about u he will be happy that you are happy even if it isnt with him

Stay with your boyfriend.
Your best friend should respect the fact that you're in a relationship.
I just went through a similar situation, unfortunately my guy friend wouldn't stop mentioning his feelings for me, so I decided to end the friendship. It was causing too much stress in my fiance and I's relationship.

Then you also should act as if nothing happened. It could have been the booze talking. If he does love you, he'll tell you at an appropriate time and place, when he hasn't had a molecule to drink.

If he was drunk, he probably doesn't remember saying it. I would just act as if nothing happened and let nature take it's course. If he does love you, you will find out.

okay, you should understand he was drunk, but if he really does mean it, then giv him a chance, but ask him if he really does love you, wouldn't he want what makes you happy? to be with either your bf or him? and if he's acting like nothing happend he's embarassed and doesn't want to interfere with your love life
