Should I brush all the hair on top forward and then cut her bangs, or do I part her hair and then do it? She usually wears a side part (when she actually lets me brush it)

I know she wouldn't do well with someone who she doesn't know cutting her hair, so a salon is not an option.

Also, I have trimmed her bangs before but I didn't know if I was doing it right. She has a very large forehead so I don't think she'd look good if I grew her bangs out. And she doesn't let me put her hair up in anything.

Part her hair on the side first. Then, draw your comb on the front to pull hair straight down. The further back, the more the bangs--be CAREFUL how much hair your gather. You can always add more if you want, but you can't put her hair back on! With bangs, a middle part may look best, and very cute when the rest of her hair is in pigtails.

There's no need to wet her hair to cut it. This will keep you from making the bangs too short.

Bangs will look ridiculous on a child unless her hair is earlength or longer. I wouldn't recommend it if she has curls, either.

Part and cut. Separate about the first third of the hair from in front of the ears. You could do it the other way, but then the hair would end up being layered all over. She's a bit young for bangs, as they will need trimming every 6 weeks or so. You may want to wait a bit if she doesn't like getting her hair cut or combed.

do not brush the whole top forward thats a mistake a lot of people make just section off a little section and trim if its wet dont forget it shrinks when its dry about 1/4 inch or more start with less and then you can add more if you want.we do like a little half circle section in the front .

Take her to have it cut so you know its done right. If you want you can save some of the hair for sentimental reasons since she is only 2. Some people do that, save the first hair cut.

Don't comb it all forward. It will turnout mullet style! Just make a little half moon from one side of her forehead to the other. Then snip it across the front just above the eyebrows. I would reccomend doing it dry so it doesn't bounce up higher when it dries.
