What about a bunch of cut up fruit? They sell it in the stores all set to go. Same with veggies. If you don't want to get that fancy just bring grapes and baby peeled carrots. Sandwiches are always good. Trail mix, nuts, yogurt covered raisins, or plain ol' chips make good snacks. Little Debbie snack cakes or cookies for your friends with a sweet tooth.
Have fun on your trip!

Any kind of sandwiches. Crackers and cheese, veggies, snack crackers, trail mix. If you are taking a cooler, you can make enough macaroni salad for a meal. Fruits are good too. I recently went on a trip and we made sandwiches, potato salad, hard boiled eggs etc., and stopped at rest stops to eat our food. It was nice.

In addition to fruits and veggies, I like to pack a cooler with a variety of salads...macaroni, chicken salad, cole slaw, pasta salad, tuna salad, etc....you can either eat them as is, or bring along croissants or your favorite bread to make sandwiches. Just make sure you refresh the ice regularly to keep the temperature low.
Also consider, mixed nuts, hard boiled eggs, pretzels, sliced or cubed cheese, yogurt, and sliced deli meat.

Syrup and yogurt is a good mixture exceedingly while you're making your very own yogurt. we like smoothies in the summer time. I not at all use a recipe. I merely pull out the blender and pour in a cup of yogurt. I start up tossing in in spite of fruit I even have available. I sweeten with slightly honey and skinny it with slightly milk if mandatory. in case you like icy smoothies, freeze some milk in an ice cube tray and drop in some cubes. I fried hen with a crushed Ritz cracker coating while i found out i replaced into out of flour. Now i exploit that coating intentionally on social gathering. it rather is fairly good on breaded pork chops too. after i might completed this a pair of situations, i got here across a recipe in an old cookbook. So, i assume it wasn't all that unique. some time past while i replaced into in junior extreme college, my terrific pal and that i fried up some breaded dill pickle slices and pickled beets. They have been fairly poor as I bear in ideas yet neither people might admit it on the time.

Jerky, trail mix, sandwiches, bottled drinks, cut up fruit and veggies. Fried chicken you can always eat cold. Same with pizza. Cereal and milk. That should be a good start. See what others have to say.

This is what we brought: string cheese, yogurt, different types of crackers, fruit, veggie sticks and dip(carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli), raisins, Chex mix, trail mix, different kinds of nuts, beef jerky, juice boxes(they're not just for kids! LOL!), a couple loaves of good bread, good ham and turkey coldcuts, squeezable condiments(I have found that sandwiches made ahead of time get soggy and weird tasting, so we made them as we went), bags of salad greens, dressing(the spritzer dressings are really good and low in fat), and baked tortilla chips and salsa. That's all I can remember. Have fun!!

What tools do you have to cook with? I would always recommend bread to make toast with a a few cans of instant soup. Dried fruit is an excellent choice for a snack as they are quite healthy and portable.
