Eternity equals 1 X 10^(infinity) years. Could a conscience being
handle that?

Bob-b, close call. Infinite mind, well, kind of an easy out; thumbs up though.
Beyond physics, since this universe was created on specific physical laws, wouldn't that take us out of this universe?

Yes, you would go insane. This is why I don't want to live for an Eternity.

C.S. Lewis described the unbeliever in Heaven in his book, The Great Divorce.

The unbeliever in The Great Divorce could not even stand to walk on the grass, because it hurt his feet; the unbeliever was miserable even in the shade of the Tree of Life, and beside the River of Life that runs from the throne of God.

Heaven would be Hell for the unbeliever, because there we are in the presence of the almighty, doing His bidding and singing His praises. The limits are placed there by our limited imagination, and by doubt in the benevolence and power of the all loving , all good God.

IMO, the eternal life God promises is not restricted or bound by time, and yes, I believe it will be out of this and all universes.......insane?....not sure spiritual beings can be insane, but if so, then what a way to go!!

A conscious being could if it had a chance to escape eternal memories occasionally...incarnate without memories of the past. There's a big hint there to the meaning of live overall.

To hamsters, 100 years would drive them crazy.

You talk about time as a fixed construct. However, eternal life is something beyond physics.

Eternal Life is not just quantitative, it is qualitative.
The Eternal Life God shares with believers is the very Life He Himself possesses. It is exquisitely delightful.

i'd think that if an eternal being evolved he/ she would instinctively know how to deal with it. mean, if, say, a dog, that lives around 12 years suddenly had to live a human life span (70 or 80 years) it would go nuts but humans seem to be dealing with it okay.

The Bible says in Psalms 16:11, "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

It also says in 1Corinthians, 2:9, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

Fullness of joy, pleasures for evermore, things so beautiful and wonderful that we can't even begin to imagine them. . .yeah, I could handle that.

Conscious being is always present, there is no past or future, thus time doesn't exist. To be unconscious is to be asleep to what is { living in the past or future} or to be dead to the present. "Let the dead bury the dead".
