Why doesn't ICE just come and deport all of them. Also why do we continually allow them to keep coming back and getting caught and then doing it again. We need better punishment then just a nice plane ride home at the tax payers expense.

Hey Stephanie, I do not think our Constitution grants illegals the Freedom of Speech!

Yeah it would have been the perfect time to round them up, all in one place at the same time. If you want to come here, I have no problem with that. Just do it LEGALLY!!! Yes a wall, 50 feet high, 30 feet below ground, 20 foot thick, with camera's and constantine wire at the top.

With only check points to cross lets say every 50 miles or so. The stretches between check points patroled by air on an irregular schedule 24-7-365, this equipment could vary, anything from a Piper Cub to a fully armed Apache Helicopter. From here on out crossing the border would be like a box of chocolates, you just never know what your going to get.

Aircraft equipped with night vision and infrared devices. If you try digging under that's ok, try digging, the entire wall would be monitored with seismic equipment to detect this activity. That's if you don't die in a cave-in digging that deep.Plus digging a hole on the Mexican side that deep? Where are you going to hide all that dirt where we can't see it from the air?

If you do happen to get caught smuggling people over the border, it would be instant death for the smuggler, the ones that paid them would be sent back to where they came from as usual and out a whole lot of money.

Oh and lets not forget the Northern border as well, it will need the same thing up there also.

Well it was a nice dream while it lasted, but cost and liberals will prevent this from ever becoming a reality. Have a nice evening.

The real question is why does everyone care about their feelings. Do they care about the working legal american whose getting the shaft when they put 20 to 30 years into their jobs and social security just to have it stripped away. Why are they coming into our schools and businesses and not speaking english? It's a shame that people are losing their jobs and chances for a decent job because they don't speak their language. I have a nephew who needed special classes because he was slower than the other kids and he could not get the help he needed because the school decided that it wasn't in the budget to teach the american kids who needed help and teach the kids who can't speak english. I just can't figure out how that happened with all the school taxes we have to pay every year. Here lately it feels like you have to be illegal to get the repect and benifits you deserve and worked so hard for. I have nothing against hard working legal citizens who abide by the law and give back to the community. There just has to be something that can be done to protect the hard working americans who have done everything right by law to set an example for his country. Maybe we should protest in the streets and wave our flags to get the repect we as americans deserve.

I agree we need to get that wall built becuase not only will it keep more illegals out, but also terrorists, drug smugglers, etc. Plus it creates jobs for the people who contruct that wall and also the people who will guard it. Wouldn't it be ironic if they hired illegals to build it?

In response to the answer from stephanie, yes it is called freedom of speech, but illegals aliens do not have that freedom becuase they are ILLEGAL. Once they get a green card and all that jazz, they can protest all they want for all i care. It's like me going to mexico or canada without a passport or proof of citizenship and walking in their streets complaining that i don't get government aid or treated fairly or just to complain about government policies. Just be lucky our country is nice enough not to shoot them or arrest them on the spot for that, like they do in some countries.

They are still people, they still get to state their opinions - and besides not everyone who protests is an illegal immigrant. some have family back home they want to be able to come to america, some are standing up for their friends, etc. and so the people who protest DO GET THE RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

let me guess - u live in some place where there are only a couple immigrants, so you think the nation could just get rid of them?
this nation NEEDS those people to work. This is the 3rd great wave of immigration, and people STILL HAVENT LEARNED FROM HISTORY.
anyway look into things before u suggest them. the usa cant just punish people from other countries, the other countries WOULDNT STAND FOR IT.

The illegal aliens are protesting because the U.S. is doing nothing to stop them. They do not have freedom of speech on this side of the border because they're here ILLEGALLY. We need to tell our elected officials "secure the borders and keep the illegals out or you won't get elected to outhouse inspector!"

It's called the land of the free and freedom of speach. Why, why, why you ask it's because even immigration don't care about illegal immigrants being here illegally as much as you do.Doesn't that tell you something, get used to it and go ahead and give me a thumbs down because it doesn't matter to me, I see what's really happening, why don't you open your eyes and see for yourself that you're just going to have to get used to it.

Actually it's mostly citizen's who protest for the immigrants because the immigrants themselves are too afraid to protest because those ICE trucks do show up at protests quite often.

I don't know why ICE isn't out there taking them in. I've never understood that. Also, to Rosebudd, my family has been here since 1657 so does that qualify me to talk about illegal immigrants (please note the sarcasm)?

Truthfully, if you asked the average American (read white) how many generations they have been in America, within 3 or 4 generations you find they crossed some water to get here. Their grandparents or their great-grand parents came from somewhere else (like Europe) to get here. Ask the average American (read Black) how many generations they have been here and chances are if they go back 4 to 5 generations, they too came from somewhere else , across some water. There were already people here when the first whites arrived and when the first Blacks arrived also. How come no one else can come, and I don't think it is just a question of rather they are here legally or illegally, the general consensus seems to be that they are not wanted here period. Remember, this is the land of opportunity, if you doubt, ask you great grandparents.
