You have to think about the vibe of the music, not just the words. Pure music is also a language To me, that music expresses rage and darkness, and you should be careful, because music influences your heart so powerfully even without words.

I commend you for not listening to the songs that are anti-Christ.

It is said you are what you eat. Which is true ( in context)
Our hearts and souls are what we feed into them...If the worldly corruptions are all we feed our minds, that is what we are but if we feed on the word of God, we will have peace and communion with the Lord.

Listening to music is fine as long as we know the limits and you seem to be conscience of that .
Email me if you would like to discuss this further.

Where did that music originate from, the world or from God. If it comes from the world the Bible says:1 John 2:15 "Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

No, if you dont like the lyrics to a song, then you dont like the lyrics. You'll like the things that appeal to you and you are capable of sorting out whats right and wrong. Im a big Pink Floyd fan but that doesnt mean I like or agree with every lyric they sing but the stuff I like, I find very moving.

I will definitely email you. I listen to some of the same music too, (Rock, R&B), but I try to keep my radio on the Gospel station as well. it's hard when the music is just so good.
