Yesterday I noticed a red pimple near the corner of my mouth and a smaller one next to it. Then I realized I just finished having a bag of microwave popcorn, and I had about four or five that weekend. I always get pimples around my mouth when I eat that much popcorn. I woke up this morning and the big red pimple is now white surrounded by red. How can I safely reduce this? I use St. Ive's Facial Wash.

I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub for Oily/Acne Prone Skin, although my skin is not oily or acne prone. Since September 1st, I have had a cluster of blemishes above the bridge of my nose/where a unibrow would be. They won't go away either. I've had clear skin until last September.

My first thought woudl be that you have a cold sore.

You may have a sensitivity to corn, or an allergy. Corn is one of the top 5 food allergies in humans.

Ok, now sounds like a pimple. I'd be tempted to pop it :/

When I've had "clusters of blemishes" I usually wipe it with rubbing alchohol after washing.
However, since you mention it, I've developed what I guess you *might* call blemishes, and I use that product, too! What I have aren't pimples, but the odd tiny bump on the skin, and they are symptomless. I've seen older people with them, and I chaulked it up to age, but maybe it's that product?
Linda
PS: I had sever acne as a young person...the only thing I found that worked was a Body Shop product. I can't remember the name, but it was a gel in a tube.

Hi there! I have read about your problem and will give you a serious reply.
The first thing you should do is to go to the drug store and purchase a pimple cream. Try to buy a mild pimple cream. This is beacause if it is too strong for you, it may cause an outbreak.
Secondly, you should always cleanse, wash and tone your face.
Cleansing your face will help clean all the dirt from your pores. Washing will help to get rid of the dirt taken out from you pores by the cleanser. The Toner would help close your pores. It is importeant that you do not squeeze your pimple/acne as it would cause many scars on your face. I know it is very tempting for you. Therefore, you should remind yourself that, unless you wanna remain an ugly ducking .
Alright, i hope my advice works for you.
best of luck!

Well, as the other people said, popping it is a good idea to start with. Then make sure that you washed your face very very well because if you don't the puss coming out of it will cause more pimples. If you have any acne cream or alcohol then you should probably put that on it, too. That Pro Active stuff works really well for me. Its kinda expensive but it helped my face look a lot better.

And if you're skin's sensitive... then go for... CVS Acne Treatment 2.5% Benozyl Peroxide Medication...

Hmm..well, if i have a pretty bad pimple, i put toothpaste on it before i go to bed. only a little bit of it works. an ingredient in it treats the infected area and reduces the redness and helps prevent pimples. To prevent pimples, try wiping your face with witch hazel. it cleans deep into pores and lets your face breath. it works for me, so it might work for you. Hope i helped!!:)

I have tried about 5 billion different acne medications and maximum strenght OXY lotion works best for me. It works better for me than perscription medication. I tried proactive too and that didn't work. OXY lotion doesn't cost very much, and greatly reduces the amount of pimples I have. It is in a little black box in the acne treatment section of your local drug store (it isn't perscription).

u should use pro-active, it works really well..
but. if u do not want to, u should just use soap(the kind to wash your body) to wash the pimple part of ur face everyday.
the reason ur face gets pimple is that u eat to much things with oil in it. so u should watch wat u eat now. that would help.for example, eating a lot of popcorn: that has a lot of oil.
u should also eat more vegies and fruits. also drink alot of water!!
i hope that helps...and that ur pimples do go away.!! xD
P.S. make sure u wash ur face everyday!!

DO NOT POP IT
contraty to popular belief,
popping may force bacteria deeper into the skin
and make it more red and all.
get a mild acne treatment
OTC
like neutrogina
good luck.
