Ive been put on Microgynon and would like to know if smoking reduces its effectiveness.. i would only smoke on drunken occasions but i dont want to risk it!
please help me

No but they advise you to quit due to the increased chances of blood clots and strokes. I was on this pill for years and smoked. I only caught on pregnant when i stopped taking the pill. Hope this helps x

definite, i did. I smoked for about 10 years and then i opt for that this cigarette does not own me and that i stop "chilly turkey" a lifeless ringer for that. i ended for about 4 years and desirous to have a drag off some different person's cigarette at the same time as in a bar and ingesting and then i felt hooked back. I smoked then for round 5 years and stop chilly turkey back, finally all started smoking back a pair better years, yet this time i might want to not stop so after asking for (in Church) that they PRAY for me to stop smoking, interior 2 weeks I had stopped and performance not smoked a cigarette when you consider that, no cravinglings and it do not difficulty me to be with those who smoke contained in the motor vehicle with me. What does difficulty me is to smell dirty ash trays or lingering smoke on peoples body and hair. I really were cigarette loose now when you consider that 2000. Now that i understand how I probable smelled to human beings. i'm genuine chuffed that I stop. solid success

NO! i was on them when i first went on the pill and i smoked from when i was 11 (not clever i know)
i still smoke and i have 2 healthy young adults and my daughter is now pregnant
