My parrot loves taking showers, if I don't take him when I go, he will climb down his cage, walk across the house, down the hallway into the bathroom, climb up the shower curtain and let himself in.

My Goffin Cockatoo has a habit of playing chase with my son. When my son gets off of the carpet and steps on the tile is considered "safe" so Jericho will just stand there and wait for him to step back onto the carpet. LOL
He also plays simon says with my son. LOL
All four of my parrots do weird things. LOL
I love it. :D
babyjust... LOL I know exactly what you mean. 3 out of 4 of my parrot's cages are rigged so they can't get out. The first escape artist I had was Jericho, the cockatoo, then the african grey timneh quickly learned,.... and if that wasn't enough the little quaker learned the day after the grey. LOL The only one who doesn't like to escape is my yellow nape amazon. I guess that is why we named the goffin cockatoo Jericho Houdini LOL
Before we found a way to keep him inside of cage when we were gone I would come home and he would be waiting at the front door. He almost gave me a heart attack the first time when I opened the door and hear "Whatcha doing huh?" I jumped and looked down on the floor and there he was sitting there looking at me with what looked like a smile on his face. LOL

I have a 6 month old green wing macaw, a grey and 2 cocker spaniels. The macaw chases the gold dog around the living room, flapping his wings and opening his beak. The dog thinks this is a game and jumps up and down and all round the living room with the macaw chasing him. This goes on for ages.
The other dog isn't so stupid - he stays well out of the way!

Our parakeet always hops onto the food dish when we want to change his food, like if he isn't there first someone else will get it. He also won't stop making kissy noises until he gets attention when company comes. He likes to tease our boxer too. He will get right up in his face and sing loud. Even with the boxers nose against the cage. We are surprised he hasn't been bit.

All the time...I have 5 budgies (that sleep upside down on the top of the cage all the time) and a tiel (she does weird cute things all the time)...She likes to walk around the table when we're eating and sample everything-if there is corn on the cob she claims it all by biting out of each one...she also like tv, showers, going to the grocery store....I could go on all day-people underestimate a bird's brain power....oh yea-and one of my budgies is best friends with a cat...

My cocktail has a habit of swinging from his toys… and then detaching them from the cage, and squawking frantically when he and the toys fall.
He’s done it five or six times now.
He also throws the dried bits of corn in his food at people he doesn’t like, and has combined “Trust me” “Who’s a pretty boy?” and “Broccoli” into “Trust me, I’m a pretty piece of broccoli”
…We still don’t know who taught him to say broccoli.

My bird would open its own door and come into the room we were in. We had to get a tie and tie her door closed. She was crazy.

What's so weird about that? Mine do that all the time. I have 56 parrots and most sleep that way.
